1 DAY MUSEUM AND CULTURAL TOUR

 Visitors are transported from the East London Airport private hangars to Mthatha, via a scenic flight over the area of Nelson Mandela's birthplace and home. Upon arrival in Mthatha  you board the tour bus and continue to the Country lodge for a full English Breakfast. Hereafter board the bus and on to the Nelson Mandela Museum which houses the famous Long Walk to Freedom exhibition . After the museum visit in Mthatha, the tour continues to Qunu and the Open Air Museum at Mveso. A cultural lunch is served at Jonopo Craft Village and is prepared by the local women. An Afternoon is spent at leisure and the party returns with the bus to the Mthatha Airport for the return flight to East London at 15h30.The return flight will take you down  the coast toward East London and you will be able to experience the scenic beauty of the spectacular Wild Coast. Depending on the month you may see schools of dolphin and whales. This tour and  flight is very well rated with our visitors. 

2 DAY MUSEUM , CULTURAL AND COASTAL SCENIC TOUR

Visitors are transported from East London Airport private hangars to Mthatha, via a scenic flight over the area of Nelson Mandela's birthplace and home. Upon arrival in Mthatha you board the tour bus and continue to the Country lodge for a full English Breakfast. Hereafter begins your tour of the Nelson Mandela Museum. After the museum visit, you are transported to the coastal town of Coffee Bay some 80km further. Once here you will be escorted to the chosen Hotel to book in and enjoy a light lunch. An afternoon outing through Coffee Bay is available for those who are spirited. Alternatively a beach walk or just relax at the Hotel pool. After a fabulous dinner and well deserved night rest the party will depart the hotel after breakfast and continue on to Hole in the Wall. Your guide will introduce you to the Xhosa culture as you meander through the villages of the former Transkei. The next stop is the Cultural Village at Qunu and the open Air museum at Mveso, hereafter you can spend time leisurely exploring  the village, talk with the people and hear their stories. A cultural lunch is served and for  the rest of the afternoon relax before the bus takes you back to the Mthatha Airport. The flight to East London departs at 16h00. The return flight will take you down the coast toward East London and you will experience the scenic beauty of the spectacular Wild Coast. Depending on the month you may see schools of dolphin and whales. The 2 day tour is very well rated by our foreign visitors.

All tours begin in East London Air Services Private Hangars at 08h00.The duration of the flight to Mthatha is 45 - 55minutes and is weather permitting.
